These have been hand dyed, hand dried, and hand made just for you! We have included an antler charm to represent Yule/Winter Solstice. Stag medicine brings wisdom, patience, and protection. During these cold months these are great energies to work with. Do you know the story of the corn husk dollies? No? Well I was told it happened like this:

There were 3 sisters. There was corn, squash, and beans. Since corn grew taller than the other two, she could see into the village where all the children were playing and she wanted nothing more than to play with the children. So she asked creator to make her wish possible and creator told her he was going to take her husks and make a corn husk doll. He would then send the doll into the village to play with the children. So he makes the doll and makes her a beautiful little house to live in near the village. Creator then tells the doll, "Tomorrow I want you to go to the village and play with the children, but tonight just rest." So the corn husk doll rests for the night and then the next morning wakes up to go play with the children in the village. On her way she passes a river so she stops to look at herself. She thinks to herself 'I am the most beautiful doll that there is, I'm so beautiful!' and she couldn't stop staring at herself. Well the evening comes and creator asked her what she did that day. She responded, "Well I couldn't help it, I'm just so beautiful I had to stare at myself all day." Creator replied, "That's not why I created you. Go home and get some rest, tomorrow go to the village to play with he children." So the next day is the same thing. The corn husk doll heads to the village but gets held up by staring at herself all day again. Creator comes back that evening and asks what she did that day. She responds, "Well I stared at myself all day again, I couldn't help myself." Creator then says, "That's not why i created you. You have one more chance to go to the village to play with the children." The next day unfortunately that same thing happens, corn husk doll stares at herself all day. Creator comes back the third evening to ask what she did that day. She told him she once again stared at herself because she just couldn't help it. Creator then says, "I warned you that was your last chance. I created you to bring happiness to the children and instead you have brought vanity." So creator removes her face so she can no longer be the most beautiful doll and so she can no longer stare at herself. Although this may seem like a harsh story, the moral of the story is we are here to bring happiness to each other.
